COGDOE Announces Marriage and Family Enrichment Cruise

The second Marriage and Family Enrichment Cruise, coordinated by the Church of God Division of Education is set for November 7-11, 2020.

A part of the Mobilize Focus Ministry, the first deposit for the trip is due April 1, 2019.

Coordinator of the cruise, Dr. Daniel Vassell stated, “In a day when culture is attempting to redefine identity, sexuality, marriage, and family, there has never been a better time for churches and ministries to galvanize all their energy and come together to affirm and reaffirm Spirit-filled biblical marriages and families.”

Testimonials from the first Marriage and Family Enrichment Cruise support an overwhelming success. Lead pastor, Bishop Patrick and Marylyn Phillips of Brooklyn Praise Cathedral said: “Wow, our cruise experience was spiritually uplifting and invigorating to our marriage.” The administrative bishop of Southern New England, Dr. Ken and Evangelist Janice Hill said: “The Marriage Enrichment Cruise, while both refreshing and exhilarating, was also educational and therapeutic for our marriage!”

A co-vocational pastoral ministry couple, Bishop Raymond and Dr. Arlene Hall said, “As dually ordained pastors, our time on the cruise was amazing as we inhaled and exhaled love. We relaxed, related to each other, as well as related with other couples in the group through fellowship, food, and fun. The spiritual component of the cruise was also a refreshing reminder of how important it is for ministry couples to schedule times like these to renew and rekindle the fire in the marriage.”

Dr. Pamela Kay Overbey, author of After Divorce. . . What Do I Do With Me? said: “Cruising with Dr. Daniel and Jenny Vassell is a ‘bucket-list’ experience all must do! Their program provides a Christian environment with lots of fun activities along with spiritual enrichment!”

According to Vassell, the cruise is planned to. “generate spiritually guided discussions on marriage and family trends and provide materials/resources to help pastors, church leaders, couples, and other family members to discover ways to navigate the political and cultural choppy waters of our day and remain faithful to our Christian worldview.”

The cruise will have time allocated for couples to rest, connect, network, and rejuvenate their relationship.
