Sevierville, TN–Each year a date is designated as Giving Tuesday. To commemorate the day late last year, Dr. Adam Lowe and WoodmenLife presented a check in the amount of $5,000 to the Church of God’s Smoky Mountain Children’s Home.

Lowe shared, “Since it is Giving Tuesday, it is a great day to support the legacy of care at SMCH. Dr. Walt Mauldin (executive director) has been a mentor for many which includes myself. I look forward to the continued relationship between the Children’s Home and Woodmen Life.”

Woodmen Life not only gave to the Children’s Home but also shared their interest in sponsoring a golf tournament in the spring. The date for the Golf Tournament is Monday, April 15. The location will be the Gettysvue Golf and Country Club, 9317 Linksvue Drive, in Knoxville, Tenn. Registration and breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. The fee is $100 per person, which includes green fee, cart, breakfast, lunch and prizes.

Mauldin stated, “If you are a golfer or just enjoy watching others play, plan to come out to the Gettysvue Golf and Country Club on April 15 and support Smoky Mountain Children’s Home.” For a registration form or further information, please call David Brown with WoodmenLife at (865) 761-7084 or Smoky Mountain Children’s Home at (865) 453-4644, Ext. 118.
