General Overseer Tim Hill and his wife, Paula, who serves as president of Church of God Women’s Ministries, have jointly announced a tour of the Holy Land entitled Israel 2020: Women of Pentecost.
The tour was originally announced during the Faith*Fire*Freedom rally at the General Assembly last summer, but no details, including a date were finalized. This week the Hills recorded a “Save the Date” video and revealed the dates for the tour will be March 1-10, 2020. The video can be viewed on Facebook at COGHQ starting on February 22.
“Although the focus will be primarily for women on this tour, there will be plenty for husbands t experience as well,” Tim Hill stated. “While most of the experiences will be shared together, the ladies will have a dynamic agenda of activities and teaching moments, while I will join the men on a spiritual journey of our own.”
A final agenda and schedule are still pending. A website is in process and will be released later this year which will contain all the details and registration information for Israel 2020: Women of Pentecost.
What is confirmed is that the tour will include hotel accommodations in 5-Star hotels, two meals per day, admission to all sites and travel on a luxury coach throughout the Land. There will be special speakers at various sites, and activities related to each site, such as baptism in the Jordan and the Lord’s Supper at the Garden Tomb. General overseer Hill also stated there will be visits to various Church of God sites, including the Israel Initiative project from two years ago.
“This is an exciting time for women in the Church of God,” Paula Hill said. “This is the first time women’s ministries has hosted a tour to the Holy Land and we hope everyone will be on board for this one-of-a-kind experience.”
