Youth and Discipleship Releases Teen Talent 2019 Manual

One of the most anticipated traditions within the Church of God is international competition for youth ages 13-19 called Teen Talent. A first element is the release of the official Teen Talent Manual and other materials, which detail the guidelines for participants and those who surround them throughout the process. The manual is now available at www.cogteentalent.com.

The International Teen Talent Competition and Awards Festival is set for July 29 – August 2, 2019 at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.

“Teen Talent week is a culmination of the months of preparation, state and regional competitions by thousands of young people who showcase their God-given gifts and abilities,” stated David Blair, director of Youth and Discipleship. “The amount of time invested by students, parents, youth pastors, and others is enormous and represents a level of commitment unparalleled in the Church of God.”

Teen Talent begins months in advance of the summer festival with state and regional competitions held in the spring at churches, state campgrounds and other locations. The six divisions include Art, Bible, Creative Writing, Drama, Multi-Media, and Music with several categories. Winners and runners-up of state, regional, and national competitions are invited to the international competition held on the beautiful Lee University campus, where competition, lodging, meals and activities are on-site.

“We are extremely grateful to Lee University and President Conn for opening up their campus, as they have since 2011,” Blair stated. “The facilities, including the residence halls, dining options and numerous venues where the performances can be staged are all top notch.”
