E21 Latin America Cabinet Anticipates Next Congress

Dallas, Texas – Empowered21’s Latin America Cabinet met two days this week in Dallas to prepare for E21’s Latin America Congress next June in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Twenty-nine leaders came together to seek the Lord, strategize, and plan in advance of the June 5-7, 2019 event. Among them were some of Latin America’s most influential Spirit-empowered leaders, demonstrating unprecedented unity as they labored together.

“We are honored to have this event at Casa de Dios in Guatemala City,” said Cash Luna, E21 Cabinet Co-chair and Pastor of Casa de Dios. “To have pastors Ricardo Rodríguez, César Castellanos, and Claudio Freidzon together in one place at one time will be historic and will demonstrate a new unity as we usher in a new move of the Spirit throughout Latin America.”

The event will feature fathers and mothers in ministry side by side with sons and daughters.

“This is something never before accomplished in the Latin American context,” said Sara Castellanos of Bogota, Columbia. “It will be an honor to stand beside my father as we proclaim the power of the Holy Spirit.”

The Regional Congress will begin on Wednesday night with a Latin American ceremony at the Casa de Dios Church in Guatemala City and will close with an anointing service for the next generation on Friday evening. The days will feature Spirit-empowered workshops to equip leaders for next generation ministry.

The entire event will be captured and telecast through Enlace, the largest Christian television network in Central and South America, as they anticipate a powerful move of God when the congress convenes.

“This is the moment when we break with the past and chart a new course for the future of Latin America,” said Jonás González, President of Enlace. “Bringing together the fathers and mothers of the faith with sons and daughters will be a demonstration of how we break through.”

One important goal of the E21 movement is to ignite the next generation of leaders in the global Spirit-empowered community. The emphasis is on building leaders, uniting voices, resourcing others, connecting movements, and preaching Jesus.

“The future of Latin America is in the hands of this next generation,” said Claudio Freidzon, pastor of Iglesia Rey de Ryes in Argentina and Empowered21 Global Council member. “This upcoming congress is about empowering the future.”

“I have been engaged in E21 from almost the very beginning and I am so excited that this massive event is coming to Latin America,” said Omar Cabrera senior pastor of Vision de Futuro and Empowered21 Latin America Co-chair. “To see these major ministries come together is an amazing sight to see. We expect a great outpouring next June in Guatemala.”
