Church of God Black Ministries Announces General Assembly Event; Scott Honored

Church of God Black Ministries recently announced their biennial fellowship luncheon, “Gathering of Cultures” award luncheon, set to take place during the upcoming 77th International General Assembly in Orlando, Florida.

The event will take place at the Rosen Centre Hotel, 9840 International Drive in Orlando, on Thursday August 2 at 12 noon. Guest speaker will be Bishop Anthony Pelt, administrative bishop for the Church of God Florida-Cocoa Offices. Registration is $47.00 and required by July 10, 2018. On-site registration is $57.00. In addition to announcing their General Assembly luncheon, Black Ministries Director Doyle Scott was recently honored at the Southern Christian Leadership Conference “Kings Men” Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, April 6, 2018.

Celebrating and commemorating the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Scott was awarded the Dream Mover Award. While being honored, Scott was afforded the opportunity to meet several dignitaries, including Gary Johnson-SCLC South FL President, Jawan Strader- co-anchor of NBC 6 News, James T. Thomas of Hot105 radio, Bishop Jimmie Williams Pastor of Lighthouse Worship Center Church of God In Christ, Jurisdictional Prelate of COGIC Florida, Judge Michael Usan, Dr. Rudolph Moise, DO, MBA, JD, Mayor Andrew Gillum of Tallahassee, Paulette Armstead Candidate for House Seat District 92 and Terry D. Scott -President of “C.R.Y.” Community Reaching Youth, Inc.
