SOW Partners with World Missions

Serving Orphans Worldwide, in partnership with Church of God World Missions, believes every child has the right to define his/her own possibilities. Its mission is to rescue, train, and sustain orphans.

Pastor Genndiy Mokhenko and his team of former street children in Mariupol, Ukraine, have a big vision … a world without orphans! In 2011, they began a ride across the former Soviet Union to dispel myths preventing families from adopting children who needed families. A global movement began, and since the initial ride, they have crossed Europe and Asia, and have seen over 200 children be placed into forever families.

Only lacking in this historic event is North America to complete this journey around the world, and summer 2018 will find them riding from Los Angeles to Miami to raise support and awareness for the global orphan crisis and promote adoption.

Sadly, in Mariupol, the Pilgrim Republic Children’s Home is located just nine miles from the front lines of the war. Many of the children who have been rescued by the ministry were abandoned because of drug addiction and other devastating issues. The children were left defenseless on the streets, exposed to crime, drug abuse, sexual assault, and violence.
