Women’s Celebration Event Set for General Assembly

A morning worship service geared toward women will be a highlight of the 77th International General Assembly. This special service is set for Wednesday morning, August 1, 2018, at 9:30 in the Valencia Ballroom of the West Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). First Lady Paula Hill, along with the Ladies Ministries Advisory Council members, will welcome hundreds of women to a continuation of the Faith, Fire, Freedom celebrations held late last year.

Rodgers

Keynote speaker at the women’s service will be well-known evangelist, respected author, and speaker Joyce Rodgers, founder and CEO of Primary Purpose Ministries. Rodgers’ ministry is life-changing in that it reaches beyond beliefs, ethnicities, religious persuasions and cultural restrictions “to release a people into their purposed destinies.” Rodgers is widely recognized as an unusually gifted communicator of the deep truths of God’s Word, blended with precision, humor and God’s anointing.

Hill

The special message will be preceded by music led by Angela Primm and Leslie Ruiz. Primm is one of the premier voices of today whose musical history spans genres, continents, and audiences. She has caught the attention of mega-stars from Aretha Franklin, Barbara Mandrel, Dolly Parton, and Brooks and Dunn to Southern Gospel music legends, such as the late Vestal Goodman.

A gifted singer and worshiper, Ruiz ministers to both Spanish and English speaking audiences alike. Worship is her lifestyle and proclaiming God’s goodness and faithfulness is her sole objective. Ruiz and her husband serve as worship leaders at Strong Tower Church of God in Brookfield, Ill.

Admission to this special women’s service requires registration as a delegate to the General Assembly. To register as a delegate, visit churchofgod.org and click the General Assembly graphic.
