Year of the Missionary Celebrates Career Missionaries

Church of God World Missions Director Tim Hill and Assistant Director John Childers are happy to announce another ‘Year of the Missionary’ disbursement to Church of God Career Missionaries.

A deposit has been made into the personal account of Career Missionaries for a family enrichment disbursement. This action of the Year of the Missionary endeavor is one of 12 set forth by Director Hill. He says: “We feel it is imperative for our Career Missionaries to know the Church of God is not only interested in their success and accomplishments, but also in their personal well-being both spiritually, physically, and emotionally. We are glad to provide an investment in a Sabbath rest. Most of the time, when they are on furlough, they are busy traveling to meet with supporters and donors. With this gifting, we desire for them to relax and rejuvenate.”

Missionaries are serving in crucial and critical times. The year 2015 will be a time to prove in a more tangible way—“We are with you!”

These 12 Care Connections have been established, endorsed, and embraced for implementation for Career Missionaries:

1. A “Years of Service” allocation
2. Birthday gift
3. Christmas financial gift
4. February—a “Love the Missionary” appreciation gift
5. Technical allowance, for internet access, fees, and so forth
6. Ministerial Care partnership for counseling as needed
7. Devotional Skype sessions each week with WM staff
8. Social Media resourcing, connecting the missionaries with experts in social media
