Sevierville, TN–The senior adult group, Young at Heart, from St. Louis, Missouri recently visited the Home for Children in Sevierville, Tennessee bearing lots of love and a financial gift of three thousand one hundred dollars ($3,100.00).
Young at Heart is a large group of men and women from the Twin Rivers Church of God located in the greater St. Louis area. Through the years Twin Rivers has been an active supporter of Smoky Mountain Children’s Home, and the present group, Young at Heart, is continuing that tradition.
Through their various means and processes of raising funds for the Home for Children, this vivacious group of senior citizens has but one thing in mind: caring for less fortunate boys and girls so that each one has an opportunity to know Christ. Each young person is guaranteed that opportunity at SMCH. Led by senior pastor, Joe Dobbins, and senior adult pastor, Randy Morrison, the Young at Heart group continues to enjoy life and to share that joy with others.
One member of the group stated, “I have visited here several times, and I always enjoy coming back. We will definitely be back again. There is something about this place that warms my heart.”
