We recently opened the Common Grounds Café on January 22. The purpose of this coffee shop is to provide an innovative way to fund ministry in Southeast Asia and to create further ministry opportunities. In starting the café, 20 local Khmer people were hired: cooks, cleaners, waiters, and cashiers.
We have also started a cell group with the sole purpose of introducing the gospel. One waiter attended our first meeting. This morning seven people from the Common Grounds’ staff attended and two accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Please pray for them as they begin their walk with Christ and pray for the rest of the staff as we model Christ before them, that their hearts and minds might be open to the liberating truth of Jesus.
I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am about what God is doing among these young people who are working here with me. This morning made every sacrifice worth it. Please pray for me as I live out my life before these people, that I would be a model of God’s truth and love and that my life would invite people to know Him.
Our God is great and His love endures forever. Pray for our meetings on Sunday, that many would come to know the One who is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
