I am so pleased to announce our newest personal evangelism training strategy called Take Five. The Take Five plan has been a work in progress for nearly two years and all materials are now produced, printed, and available.
The plan is simple: we begin with five couples in the local church and reach out to and witness to up to 25 unchurched people in the first five months. This is just the beginning! With this strategy a church can train all willing laity in evangelism and reach thousands of lost people in a short time. Our new book, Share the Gospel in Three Stories, explains all of this in detail. We have also produced the Take Five Leader’s Guide that shows how to set up and teach the classes in the local church. In addition, we have produced an effective Take Five Teaching DVD that features five lectures covering the textbook. It does the teaching for the small group leaders. It is designed for churches of any size.
There are two teaching events that we would like for you to consider for your church. The first is the Take Five Leaders Forum. This event is designed for pastors and key leaders to help them understand the relational and small group plan of local church evangelism and preview the new materials available. It takes only 60 to 90 minutes to present the Forum. The second event is called Take Five Summit. This is a four-hour seminar that teaches the entire course of five sessions in just one day. It covers all details of setting up the small groups and trains the leaders how to present the material. An overview of the entire book is presented in the Summit. The Forum works well in a local church or state prayer conference or other leadership conference and the Summit works well in a local church teaching seminar or in state meetings like a regional or statewide training event. Take Five is truly a first-century evangelism plan that is perfect for today’s church!
