CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Church of God World Missions is planning the second National Local Missions Representatives (LMR) Rally and Celebration. The deadline for preregistration for the July 26-27 event is less than one month away, May 1, 2013.
Due to the outstanding participation and support in the first Rally two years ago, the LMR event will be held again at the North Cleveland Church of God in Cleveland, Tenn.
All LMRs, missions pastors, missions committees, missions-loving individuals, as well as pastors, are encouraged to attend this Friday and Saturday event. World Missions has made arrangements for special rates at area hotels. Each guest is responsible for making his/her own reservations. Please inform the hotel desk clerk you are participating in the LMR Rally and Celebration with the Church of God in order to get your discount.
There is no registration fee for the rally. Lunch on Saturday will be provided for all who attend.
Registration begins at the North Cleveland church on Friday, July 26, at 10 a.m. Missionary booths will be open for all guests to visit and meet the missionaries. The booths will remain open throughout the day. An LMR/missionary fellowship will be held on Friday, 3-4 p.m., with light refreshments in the church café.
The kick-off service on Friday begins at 6:55 p.m. with the Parade of Nations, World Missions choir, and speaker, Dr. Tim Hill, general director of World Missions.
On Saturday, July 27, missions authority Pastor Dwight Allen of Cooper City Church in Florida will share a Pastor Testimonial, “In the Beginning,” (from small, struggling church to large, healthy church, and the part missions played). Bishop Tommy Smith, missionary to Indonesia, will minister in the Saturday afternoon service, and all LMRs will have an opportunity to win a free missions trip.
