Missionary educators Dr. Bill and Nelda George were honored at the Church of God World Missions pre-assembly gathering that convened at the Peabody Hotel, Monday, July 23, 2012 with the presentation of a book dedicated to them entitled, The Missional Integrity of the Church with a Global Focus. The book contains the conferences, workshops and devotionals presented at the FIEL conference held in Cancun, Mexico, October 11-14, 2011.
According to the Dr. Francisco Jimenez, president of the International Fellowship of Leaders and Educators (FIEL), the book was dedicated to Bill and Nelda George for their servant spirit, missional commitment and for being great teachers, counselors and friends. Other leaders pointed out that it is a great matter of joy to the Latino community to have Bill and Nelda be the recipients of this honor. The George’s dedicated a few years of their missionary career to the administration of the prestigious Mexican Bible Seminary also known as SEBIME. This seminary is located in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. Many of the leaders and pastors of Mexico are graduates of SEBIME. Today, after three decades of existence, it continues to fulfill its mission and vision of preparing pastors, musicians and leaders for Christian service.
We congratulate Dr. Bill and Nelda George and their two sons, Mike and David and their respective families, for this accomplishment. The book is available in Spanish at the Church of God Editorial Evangelica, 1.800.451.2441.
