Church of God congregations across the nation are participating in the Seek God for the City initiative, a 40-day prayer evangelism effort being sponsored by Church of God Prayer Ministries in conjunction with Waymakers, a international prayer organization.
According to Rev. P. Douglas Small, director of Alive Ministries: Project Pray of Kannapolis, N.C. and liaison for Church of God Prayer Ministries, for the second year, usage by Church of God pastors and congregations has topped the 12,000 mark. Pathway Press, a partner in the initiative is doing a last minute re-print to handle the demand for the books. Small, continued by saying, “It appears, without the promotion that we had last year, that we will better our usage from the previous year – with more than 15,000 participants in the prayer evangelism endeavor.”
Church of God General Overseer Dr. Raymond Culpepper has “urged” the use of “the creative suggestions in this prayer guide.” The effort is being promoted in connection with the Church of God Division of World Evangelization.”
The unique prayer guide takes an individual or a family around the world in 40 days. It encourages prayer for the community in ways that most individuals have never considered.
