What Do You Know About Church of God Missions?

Sometimes it is good to be reminded how effective the Church of God is around the globe. World Missions Director Douglas LeRoy recently posted several tidbits of ministry taking place through the ministry of the Church of God and its supporters.

Did You Know:

• That Church of God World Missions is involved in 176 countries with a membership of 6.8 million members and 15 million attenders?
• That we have 55 churches, 15 missions, and 4,547 baptized adult members in the new country of Southern Sudan. The country was established July 2011.
• That 110 students graduated from the Bible school in Haiti, June 30, 2011.
• That a new church facility and social ministries center was dedicated in Sofia, Bulgaria, in June.
• That church work is being established in Laos.
• That the Bethel Church of God in Indonesia now exceeds 3 million in membership.
• That the New Testament Church of God in Barbados is celebrating 75 years of ministry.
• That World Missions can be seen on Facebook and Twitter.
• That the Mt. Paran Central (Atlanta, GA) Sanctuary Choir visited the Birth of Christ Church of God in Nova Kakhovka, Ukraine, in June.
• That the Asian School of Christian Ministries in Manila, Philippines, now offers a Master’s degree in social work.
• That over the last 50 years, young people have raised over $32 million for YWEA.
• That the average church gives less than three percent of their funds for foreign missions.
• That Senegal is 92 percent Muslim and that Christians are under persecution. Church planters are desperately needed.
• That Saudis who come to faith in Christ face the death penalty if discovered. Pray for our underground church.
