Bishop Doyle Scott to Assume Florida Pastorate

CLEVELAND, TN: The Reverend Doyle P. Scott, Director of Intercultural Advancement Ministries within Mission North America, an arm of the Division of World Evangelism for the Church of God, has recently accepted the pastorate of the Resurrection Life Church of God in Delray Beach, Florida. In accepting this new ministry assignment, Doyle and Linda Scott are returning to a region where they have previously served and are well-known for exemplary leadership as pastors, leaders, and administrators.

“Bishop Scott has been a vital leader in our efforts to evangelize the United States and Canada as the leader of Church of God Intercultural Advancement. Although he has served in several administrative positions, including Administrative Bishop in Southern New England and Florida-Cocoa, he has always done so with a passion and heart for the local church. The Resurrection Life Church is a great church in our denomination with a long history and record of Kingdom accomplishments and will continue to be a blessing through the gifted leadership of Doyle and Linda Scott,” stated Dr. Timothy M. Hill, General Overseer of the Church of God.

While a new director of Intercultural Advancement will not immediately be appointed, as Executive Committee liaison, Dr. J. David Stephens will continue to provide Divisional leadership over the ministry with Bishop Scott continuing with interim administrative responsibilities from his new role of ministry as the current General Assembly term advances. It is anticipated that previously planned activities and programs will continue.
