General Assembly Web Site Set to Launch January 9
Cleveland, TN– A dedicated Web link for the 2012 Church of God General Assembly will be active on the Church of God Web site starting Monday, January 9, 2012 at 12 noon EST.
Prayer Gathering in Miami Draws 20,000
David Vega, a Church of God pastor in Miami was the catalyst for a prayer gathering that drew 20,000 to a prayer celebration, despite the threat of rain. Thousands gathered to pray in the under-churched, cosmopolitan city, ripe with Santería - the syncretism of Christianity with elements of African and Caribbean witchcraft.
2012 Seek God for the City Booklet Now Available
The 2012 Seek God for the City booklet is now available for purchase. The booklet is being offered this year in a partnership with Church of God Prayer Ministries and Pathway Press. Again, it has a special Church of God prayer ministries section.
Encore Program Offers New Courses for Spring
Lee University’s Encore Program, which offers people age 60 and over the opportunity to take university courses, has a new line up of specially-designed mini-courses for the spring. These mini-courses are planned exclusively for Encore-eligible students.
Music Explosion, the Church of Gods national music conference, will convene in February 2012.
Church of God Music Ministries, part of the Division of Discipleship at the international offices, will present the conference at North Cleveland Church of God and the Lee University Conn Center, Wednesday, February 22nd through Friday, February 24th. Day sessions will be conducted at the North Cleveland church and two worship concerts will be held at Conn Center. Headlining a night of worship on Friday evening will be world-renowned singer, songwriter and worship leader Israel Houghton and his band, New Breed. Other featured guests will include Mark Harris, the Voices of Lee and more.

Stevens Creek Church, a Church of God congregation in Augusta, Ga., has added a new way for their parishioners to donate this holiday season. The contemporary church introduced smart-phone giving through a mobile app provided by SecureGive. This is the first church donation app to hit the iTunes store.
General Assembly Registration, Housing Begins January 9
The 74th International General Assembly of the Church of God will take place at the Orange County Convention Center July 24-27, 2012 in Orlando, Florida. Registration and housing for the event begins on Monday, January 9, 2012.

Dee Lavender Memorial Missions Week 2011
HAITI — While students in Haiti remain devastated by the destruction of their school, students at Lee University rallied together for Dee Lavender Memorial Missions Week 2011 to help raise awareness and money for Haiti. The university partnered with Church of God World Missions to support the La Saline Church project and bring light to an area that is still trying to recover from the earthquake that shook the poverty-stricken country on January 12, 2010.

Church of God in North Georgia Tops 100,000 Members
In August of 2011, the Church of God in North Georgia reached the milestone of 100,000 in church membership. As a result of this achievement, the International Executive Committee in their recent session earlier this month approved the reclassification of North Georgia as a Six Star State.
75th Anniversary Celebrated in Barbados
BARBADOS — Over 2,000 people gathered in the National Center in Bridgetown, Barbados, for the celebration of 75 years of the New Testament Church of God in Barbados.
Youth and Discipleship Sponsors Ministries Training in Romania
Church of God Youth and Discipleship makes training and discipleship a priority in all that they do. Each year, several training opportunities are provided in a variety of settings and locations. In November, a team consisting of 11 individuals from the United States and Europe, conducted training in Bucharest, Romania.
