Spirit-Empowered Believers Celebrate Pentecost in Europe
LONDON—Empowered21 concluded the inaugural E21 Europe Congress and Pentecost celebration with a time of impartation as international ministry leaders anointed hundreds of delegates during the closing session at Ruach City Church, historically known as the Gaumont State Theater.
“Pentecost is a time when we remember that the Holy Spirit came to dwell with us,” said Dr. George Wood, Global Co-Chair of Empowered21 and Superintendent of the Assemblies of God. “What better time to gather together with other believers and experience the power of the Holy Spirit as we look to the future?”
Registered attendees from 46 nations united in voice during the week of Pentecost 2016, crying out for the nations of Europe to experience spiritual transformation through the power of God’s presence.
“The Spirit moved,” said Dr. Billy Wilson, Co-Chair of Empowered21 and President of Oral Roberts University. “We believe this event will mark the start of a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit throughout England and Europe, and then beyond to the world.”
The London European Congress evening sessions were broadcast via TBN UK reaching into millions of homes across Europe and North Africa. TBN UK reported registered streaming viewers of the evening sessions re-broadcast from 31 countries. Pre-Congress events included meetings for the E21 initiatives and the annual meeting of the Empowered21 Global Council, composed of esteemed denominational and organization leaders who give oversight to adherents of the Spirit-empowered movement. Empowered21 next generation (NGN) hosted a one-day summit bringing together 60 emerging leaders from six continents for dialog, impartation, encouragement and casting vision for future unified global activities and ministry. The scholar’s consultation reviewed academic writings from seventeen theologians who spent two days discussing scripture and theology with international context on the focus of Grace and the Spirit-empowered Movement for the 21st Century. Pastors and laity from Europe received training for relational discipleship and evangelism in a seminar presented by the Empowered21 Spirit-empowered Discipleship Global Task Force.
E-Talk panel discussions featured 24 internationally accomplished pastors, entrepreneurs, speakers, and emerging leaders addressing topics selected by the Empowered21 Western Europe Cabinet that were relevant to practical ministry and living life in the power of the Holy Spirit.
