God Works Despite Barriers for Career Missionaries

Missionaries are not permitted in some Asian countries, and conversion to Christianity is strictly forbidden by law. Converts risk jail, ostracism, and many give the ultimate sacrifice by death at the hands of family members.

In one Asian country, church planting is evangelism, but developing leaders is primary. Finding a couple that is close to God, has proven character, leadership gifts, and the right personalities proves challenging in securing pastors. When financial assistance is lean, planting churches in a Muslim country is even more difficult. Yet, our Church of God missionaries are seeing growth taking place.
Another church will be planted soon, and various Church of God leaders in the area are starting cell groups which develop into churches eventually.

God impressed someone in the country where the missionaries are serving to donate land! The land will be used as a headquarters and a Bible school/dorm for students. Long-serving pastors will also be allowed to build homes on the land. Already the land has been cleared and leveled, another miracle provided by God.

Now, funds are needed to build the buildings on the property. God’s Word says, “I will supply all your need according to My riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

God will complete the work He has begun through our dedicated and determined Career Missionaries.

If you would like to donate to see this missionary endeavor come to fruition, please contact Church of God World Missions. The project number is 065-0058.
