General Assembly 2016 Website Launches

November 23, 2015– The Church of God unveils later today a website for the International General Assembly (www.GA16.org) to be held July 19-22, 2016.

Preparations have been underway for weeks towards the General Assembly, which for the first time will be held in Nashville, Tennessee and in the brand new Music City Center.

According to David Ray, chairman of the General Cabinet, the first phase of the site goes live today. Delegates will be able to register for GA16 and then secure housing through the Church of God room block at several surrounding hotels. All can be done fully online.

“There is a lot more to come to this site, but we wanted to get registration and housing available as soon as possible,” Ray stated. “We are aware that securing registration and a place to stay during the event are very important aspects. The sooner delegates get this behind them the more we can all concentrate of the events and business of the event.”

Ray stated that because of the number of room reservations the general assembly generates, housing for the General Assembly room block is being handled through Orchid Events, the same vendor that has coordinated past assemblies. All housing requests and confirmations, as well as revisions, will be processed by Orchid. All contact information is available on the GA16 site.

In the weeks to come, several more pages will be unveiled on GA16.org, including information on the schedule, featured speakers, and special events, such as the L.E.A.D. Conference. Early next year there will be more detailed information on the schedule, including locations, children’s church, and special meal functions. Following the April International Executive Council session, the final agenda will be posted on the site for review.

“There are a lot of exciting things leading up to next July,” Ray concluded, “but it all starts with registration.”
