USA Missions Announces “We Love Nashville” Effort

Church of God USA Missions has unveiled plans for a “We Love Nashville” evangelism/witnessing effort in July 2016 in conjunction with the 76th International General Assembly.

Dr. James E. Cossey, executive administrator of USA Missions states, “We are extremely pleased that we have been given the ‘green light’ by our Executive Divisional Director, Dr. Wallace Sibley, and the entire International Executive Committee to proceed.”

“We Love Nashville” will be a cooperative effort that will require interaction between USA Missions, the Office of Communications, and other agencies such as Operation Compassion. It is envisioned that perhaps individuals from Church of God congregations in the metropolitan Nashville area will be enlisted to assist in an effort to make a positive gospel impact while thousands of Church of God members converge on “Music City USA.” Leonard Albert, Personal Evangelism Consultant for the Church of God who is also East Tennessee regional representative for the Billy Graham Association’s “MY HOPE” campaign, is currently writing a witnessing tract based on the theme.

The “We Love Nashville” emphasis will be a part of the USA Missions-sponsored 3-G Outreach Initiative for 2016. The 3-G Initiative focuses on the three “Great” statements of Jesus: The Great Commitment (Prayer), the Great Commandment (Care), and the Great Commission (Share). More information on the initiative can be secured at www.usamissions.com.

More information will be forthcoming as the “We Love Nashville” campaign is developed.
