USA Missions Releases 12-Month Evangelism Plan

Church of God USA Missions, at the recent ONE: Leadership Conference, unveiled a new twelve-month local church evangelism plan.

Developed by Dr. James E. Cossey, executive administrator of USA Missions and a team of local pastors, evangelists, and church leaders, the 3G Initiative has been fully endorsed by the International Executive Committee of the Church of God. State leaders have been encouraged to consider including the 3G Initiative in the USA Missions section of their state ministers meeting agendas.

The 3G Initiative focuses on the “Three Greats” of Jesus—the GREAT Commitment (Prayer), the GREAT Commandment (Care), and the GREAT Commission (Share). The simple, easy to follow guide (available at www.usamissions.com) provides month-by-month activities to engage local church members in each of the “Three Greats,” in order to reach out to the community outside the local congregation. Many churches will find they are already doing some of the activities suggested, but will discover that this initiative catalogs those activities and new ones as well, and arranges them in an easy to execute chronological order. The initiative will commence with a Day of Prayer for the Lost on January 4, 2015 (a special Day of Prayer for the Lost is scheduled for each month of the year), and will conclude with an outreach emphasis revolving around Advent and Christmas in December. In between are month-after-month of exciting outreach activities that foster a spirit of prayer, care, and share.
